Hey guys,

I tried to update a few weeks ago but could not find where to do it. - the new web site looks great.

Well the park is open, we have 2 main signs now - one at corner of warner and 88th and the other at the gate with some rules.

There is a total of 46 structures out there, complete to ride. What we will be doing this spring - Currently installing trail marker signs, yellow and green. yellow for freeriders and green for xc. the yellow path currently has the full loop, follow that one. still working on green. we are getting a load of dolomite for the sandy areas and for transitions off most of the drops. there are a lot of them. But will not get that until frost laws are off. we will hold a couple of trail days to help move this around, so if you are intrested please let me know. I am writing another grant for a wooden pump track, (like rays) hope to come this fall.

We have had lots of riders out there this spring already. Got a vid of some guys in Grand haven riding the rollers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrGxTmInheo - not long but cool to see.

hope to see u out there

Has anyone from the GR area hit this yet? We have had people from grant, newaygo, muskegon, grand haven, fremont and white cloud, that I know of so far. Lots of tracks out there which is good. Starting to get hard packed. (except the sand spots which we will be fixing the spring)

The web address at the bottom of the park sign was missing a . If anyone wrote to us we did not get it. It should read the.refuge.park@hotmail.com. (this has been fixed)

I had a typo - there is a total of 64 stunts/structures out there.

I rode at the Refuge over the weekend. Lots of cool fun stuff out there. But was alittle surprised that alot of the drops were to flat ground.

Ya, this spring has been a busy one for me so far, I got to ride it for the first time on friday night, there is plenty to work on that is for sure. lots of trees are in the way (people, wind not sure) and to put the dolomite down, build trans, and rake some chatter out. but looks like the leaf blow worked well so far. Oh ya and get rid of some firns in the pines.

trial head starts at the first teeter by the gate. not sure where you started the first time but that is where you will want to go.

We are going to have a work day out there sometime soon. I will post the date

Hey! Just wondering if there has been any transitions or landing built on anything yet?

Sorry not yet, I have dolomite out there but have no time to spread. But things are getting slower for me so I should be able to get a couple of sat's out there to get some done.

thanks for checking. I will post when I get some trail work done.
